History of Vessel Original owner bought new in 1973, kept it for 39 years Moored in Georgian Bay its entire life Second owner bought about 2002 moored in Owen Sound, Georgian Bay Present owner bought September 2020 Relocated to Windsor, Ontario, and winterized over winter of 2020 and 2021.
Launched in May 2021 embarked on a cruise to Georgian Bay July 2021 for several weeks.
Only 3 owners It has always been in the cool fresh waters of Georgian Bay, Ontario Features The attached original Brochure give the best description of the features It has a built-in heating system but does not have air conditioning, but could be added One significant feature is that it has both a lower and upper helm station The lower helm station has excellent visibility, so it is very comfortable cruising in the lower station with very complete and safe visibility also, there are no ladders to climb, except to get on the boat only a few steps up and down Two bathrooms with new electric toilets and new discharge hoses to the holding tank The hull is solid fiberglass, no coring which makes the Hatteras a very strong and reliable vessel todays boats are not built that strong and reliable The Galley includes a full-sized refrigerator with freezer, microwave, three-burner stove with oven, toaster-oven, hot and cold water Master bedroom has a queen-size bed and a single bed, Improvements and Upgrades During the winter of 2020 and 2021, several improvements were implemented as described in detail below New sparkplugs, points, and condenser for genset cleaned three flame arrestors changed belts on engines where needed power-washed the entire engine room and bilge so it is clean and tidy removed old original accumulator on freshwater system, install modern unit Replace genset exhaust hose Installed 2 new batteries Clean and painted bilge and engines Change oil in engines and transmissions and genset repaired wash-down pump bow and stern hose connections cleaned and painted under mattresses on both bedrooms purchased two new mattresses in V-Berth add hinges and lift handle to both large hatches in salon cleaned old caulking around inside of all windows power washed the swim platform to remove embedded dirt and discolouration re-chromed the anchor rode covers over anchor rode lockers replaced several corroded chrome items adjusted two doors to fit master bathroom and v-berth Refurbish hatch at entrance to salon Refurbished front escape hatch on bow deck Cleaned heater grills and fans Major cleaning and new seals on both bow and stern hatches Purchase new boarding ladder install connections Re- bedded several stanchions Installed new lifelines Install new mirrors in bathrooms New carpet in salon and bedrooms Install new plexiglass windshields on flybridge Install new navigation lights - port and starboard and stern Major cleaning of kitchen cupboards, etc Clean and repair master shower door Install refurbished all-round anchor light Seal exhaust vent rear port and starboard corners Paint licence number on hull Reseal windshields with new caulking where needed Remove, service and install air horn pump Clean and replace towel bars in bathrooms Replace both shower hoses and shower heads Install freshwater filter and hose-end filter purchased and installed new ICOM VHF radio with GPS and remote mike for flybridge Two new bilge pumps for shower sumps Repair sink in guest bathroom Partially refurbish teak rails purchased new 10' dinghy and new Suzuki 2.5hp motor purchased new GPS enabled iPad with Navionics for navigation purchased new sunshade for back deck.
